Phillip is 21 years old and a political science junior at the University of Oklahoma. Prior to road cycling, he rode freestyle BMX for six years, but made the switch to road racing three years ago. He is currently a Cat. 2 and his initial goal for this season is to get his upgrade to Cat. 1 and in the process gain more experience. Phillips career highlights include a 2nd place at the Harbor Meadows Criterium and a 3rd Oklahoma State Road Race Championships in 2008 as well as a 6th place at the Walburg Road Race this year.
