Peter is currently in his third season of competitive cycling. He was introduced to cycling during his freshman year at the University of Texas at Austin, where he will be a senior in the fall of 2009, and competed with the University of Texas Cycling Team during the 2007 season. Since 2008 he has been a member of the Metro Volkswagen Cycling Team with which he has competed in top races across the United States. During the summer of 2009 he spent 10 weeks racing in Switzerland with the Alchimist-Skoda Cycling Team. He shows constant improvement racing at the highest level despite being a latecomer to the sport. He is an all-rounder on the bike, and is specifically strong in time trials and stage races. His biggest success to date was his performance at the Joe Martin Stage Race in 2009 where he didn’t only win the GC but also rode away with a victory on stage 2. He also produced some outstanding results during his stay in Switzerland, most notably his 4th place at the Martigny Crtierium.
