Come and Take It Bicycle Race in Gonzalez, TX

Chris Cornetto of Rouse Bicycles is promoting a race weekend in July of this year for which 60% of the proceeds will go to Norma’s House http://www.normashouse.net a charity in Gonzales, TX which helps with the transition of children away from abusive homes. Another goal of this race is to promote women’s bicycle racing. Notice the pay and distances are equal for the women and men.

FCS Cycling Team has been accepted to compete in the Professional/Cat 1 Redlands Bicycle Classic

We are quite proud to announce that the FCS Cycling Team has been accepted to compete in the Professional/Cat 1 Redlands Bicycle Classic March 31 through April 3 in Redlands, CA. The 4 stage race is the kick-off of USA Cycling’s National Racing Calendar and is one of the most prestigious events of the year.

The team we will field is comprised of three FCS U23 team members:

Cody Foster, 20 of The Woodlands, TX

Current Texas U23 Time Trial Champion

Tucker Gerald, 20 of Amarillo, TX

Winner of stage 2 Pro/1 Tour de Nez

Zack Noonan, 19 of Kutztown, PA

Current US National Jr Team Pursuit Champion

Joining as guest riders will be:

Blake Anton, 23 of San Luis Obispo, CA

Current US Collegiate Road Champion

Nicky Boulle, 22 of Dallas, TX

Winner of the Cat 2 TX Tough Grand Prix 2010

Robin Carpenter, 19 of Philadelphia, PA

Current US National Jr Team Pursuit Champion

Steve Tilford, 51 of Topeka, KS

Multiple National Titles –our “veteran”

Serving as support staff will be Team Technical Director, Tim Redus and Assistant Director, James Karthauser.

The main goals in FCS’s competitive efforts are in providing high level experience to our developing athletes. We are focused bringing these young riders up through the ranks in a well-structured and well supported environment. Although the results of each individual competition are not placed as our ultimate target, expect to see some impressive performances from this group.

We would like to seek your support for the team. Your encouragement to the riders is highly valued. We will be posting frequently on Facebook and e-mail blast before, during, and after the race. Please feel free to add positive comments.

As we are on a very limited budget, we are also seeking support in the form of donations and small sponsorships.
